The Malaysia food franchising set to become halal hub Halal franchisors Asia Focus Franchise Holdings, which owns two franchising brands, Chicken King and Shokudo, is preparing to carry out an initial public offering (IPO) on the stock exchange market this year.

The company is determined to make the Chicken King franchise and Shokudo franchise a fast-growing Asian alternative to other restaurant franchises. The franchising company wants to raise about RM10 million from the IPO, enough for the opening of 10 new Chicken King franchises and three new Shokudo franchises in Malaysia over the 24 months after the IPO.

All international expansion will be through franchising, the company is reviewing local franchise applications to selectively increase its presence in Malaysia.
